He has served as an executive or on the board of directors of the Northern Pacific Railroad, Hunt Foods and Industries, the McCall Corporation, and the Norton Simon Foundation.
Born in western Pennsylvania, Mr. Hurley lived in southern California since 1946. He and his wife, Louise, divided their time between homes in California and Hawaii. Mr. Hurley passed away in early 2003.
