Nancy Clemens is co-publisher of Blue Dolphin Publishing and an active advocate for dolphins worldwide. Mother of five young adults, Nancy lives on a small farm outside Nevada City, California, with husband, Paul, and an assortment of other sentient beings.
Nancy loves traveling and immersing herself in native cultures. She champions the rights of indigenous peoples to preserve their sacred sites and way of life. Most of her teachers have come from the Tibetan, Native American, mystic Sufi, and Christian traditions. Saint Francis of Assisi, her patron saint, carries threads of all these traditions, as well as demonstrating his love and communication with animals. Through his inspiration Nancy came to love animals ... cats and dogs, tigers, lions, wolves, horses, and perhaps most of all, the dolphins and whales. As an earth-connected person, she loves camping and hiking in nature, and grows flowers, herbs, and vegetables.
As a teenager Nancy lived in Europe with her family for two years in Paris and outside of Toulon on the French Riviera. She has a B.F.A. in art from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. As a certified massage therapist and intuitive healer, she incorporates Dolphin Card readings into her healing sessions.
Nancy feels a need to speak out for our Earth, our oceans and for a healthy environment. Wishing to expand her advocacy for dolphins, whales and clean oceans, she founded the International Dolphin Encounter.
