John Frederick

Author of Name Droppings on Your Head

Now retired on his ranch-style home in Palm Springs, John Frederick has the leisure to look back on a very full life. Starting out as Frederick Stiffler on a farm in Iowa where he grew to a striking 6 foot 3, a yard across at the shoulders, he went on to become a star of film, theater, and television, as well as an accomplished musician. He also received his M.A. in Letters and Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

He appeared in such films as The Ten Commandments, The Shoes of the Fisherman, Cleopatra, and as Lord of the Jungle in Tarzan Meets His Mate, and on television series such as Superman, Bonanza, Wells Fargo, Death Valley Days, and Twilight Zone. But friends enrich our lives more than anything, and his included Mae West, Elizabeth Taylor, Ginger Rogers, and Ronald Reagan.

Now very involved in charity work, John says, "The past was magnificent, but the future looks even brighter."
