James A. Schaller, M.D., received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1958 from the University of Pennsylvania. After four years in the Army Medical Corps, where he received an "Army Commendation Medal," he did his residency and post-graduate studies at Misericordia Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania Graduate Medical School.

Certified and recertified in his specialty by the American Board of Ob-Gyn, he is a Life Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. For twenty-five years he was affiliated with Nazareth Hospital where he served as the Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department. In 1966, Dr. Schaller entered private practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Schaller and his wife of forty years, Marianne, are traveling America to spread the message contained in his books: "If you wish to maximize your chances for health and a happy relationship, you have to select a plan and give it your time and energy."
