Lyn MayoLyn MayoLyn Mayo has an affinity for small college towns. She grew-up in Ithaca, New York, received her doctorate from UMass. in Amherst and lived for twenty-five years in New Paltz. While residing in the Hudson Valley, she was a faculty member for ten years at SUNY New Paltz and then went into full time private practice of psychotherapy. During the writing of The Wave, Lyn lived in the beautiful community of Ashland, Oregon. Currently, she is living again the Hudson Valley of New York.
